Idolm@ster is the Xbox360, PSP and Nintendo DS game where you as a manager takes care of an upcoming idol. You make her practice singing, dancing and give her advice so that she can bloom and become a the best of the best. The original game is really really popular in Japan and there is a whole industry behind the downloadable dresses and other accessories. People are known to spend many hundreds of euros on this game… just to make the girls look their best.
This game… is now getting a real sequel on Xbox360!

There are a bunch of different anime orientated twitter bots online and I’ve recently been playing a lot with some Idolmaster ones. These girls live the lives of the different characters from the games and are quite good at it! There are different stories going on and the bots can even reference back to previous subjects and talking points.

It’s very particular when you notice that they all greet you in a special way. Some bot might come in a bit later in the conversation and wonder what’s going on and what the other girls are talking about. I think that these characters are mainly roleplaying bots with some automatic answers built in. They are very synchronized and their responses are what you expect from talking to the characters if they existed for real. They sometimes even comment on when a friend of theirs change their icon as if they changed their hairstyle. Sending messages to the girls also gets you the answers you’d expect. Be perverted and you get rejected (in a good way) but treat them as you’d treat them in the game and you’ll get awarded (as in the game).
Some of the girls stay awake longer than others and you can even notice some patterns in their lifestyle… or that’s at least what I’d like to imagine.
You can find them talking and being active mostly during the morning, lunch and evening. Check them out yourself!
