You know the feeling when you’re talking to someone and reminiscing about old times? For example, when you went to that trip together, raided that castle and got over 9000 experience in one go? Or when you bought your very first figurine? This video makes me feel the same way.

I think I might spend too much time on nicovideo. Maybe.
Nicovideo is now about 7000 users away from having 700 K premium users! This means that they are, just from the users, getting ¥350 000 000 (2,9 million EUR) a month. But they’re in the minus. I guess bandwidth and personal costs are high. And that they use a lot of “creative” bookkeeping.
Jason-san is a japanese artist and a master of using a chainsaw to make different sculptures. He has done many statues, such as characters from anime series and japanese memes. This time around, he takes on Big Daddy from the Bioshock series. His blog (in japanese) tells you more about the progress and gives you some insight in how he makes these sculptures.
Why did he make it?
Because a diving suit and a drill is something men feel connected to. It’s kind of romantic.
It’s quite amazing what you can do with a chainsaw and a piece of wood, don’t you think?
The members from the nicovideo world tour will release a CD the 31:st of mars. You might recognize members such as KIRA, GOMU, MEGANE and Re:. The CD will contain songs from the world tour and it will cost ¥ 2 525.
I for one am not very interested in real singers preforming vocaloid songs, but some people might enjoy these all-too-human voices. Especially since some are very cute girls, boys and things of unknown gender. It shall also be mentioned that rak has done the art for this CD and even produced a song for it. It’s her very first music production and you can find her other creations right here!
I don’t recognize a single one of these people but I’m sure they are all terrible. I mean the worst. What kind of person does a livecast anyway? Why do they do it? They must be narcissists the whole bunch.
Ok I’m kidding, I love nicovideo live. It’s the best thing coming out of the original nicovideo. I just wish they had more slots so more people could broadcast at the same time. Also higher bitrate. And a smoother stream. uStream has it right there, so learn from them!
