Drill-hair is a very special type of hair that some certain characters have. With it comes certain behaviour and tendencies, which we will look into in this post!
Drill-hair comes in many varieties. Some of them are big and seem to weigh more than the person bearing them and some of them are smaller, almost like locks.
The characteristics of the moe characters wearing them is also very different, very much depending on how the hair is drawn.
Smaller locks usually point towards a dollish cuteness, a certain innocence and childishness.
Middle-sized locks, about shoulder length, usually points the character towards tsundere territory.
Big (and thin) locks makes the character lean towards royalty. This character has saved her hair for a very long time and takes well care of it/is well taken care of.
Really big or long locks, often larger than the characters forearm, is just ridiculous and is often seen in hentai and other erotic material.
I prefer straight black hair though ( ゜ω゜)
