VIPPERS are screwing with nicovideo

VIPPERS, an unorganized group of people that post on 2ch, are fucking with nicovideo.
Useless comments are filling up popular videos and the general disarray is getting more and more out of hand. They’ve even notified some larger companies like Nintendo of videos that might break copyrights, such as videos of people playing Nintendo games. This is of course annoying for us watching the videos, but it must be even worse for the people spending the time creating them.
Who are the VIPPERS then? Well, you could say that they are Anonymous predecessors, since 2ch came before 4chan. The group is not an organized one and the people calling themselves VIPPERS are most likely attention seeking internet trolls. The trolling of nicovideo will probably stop after a week/month or so, as people lose interest and move onto some new target.
In the mean time, avoid videos on nicovideo.jp that can be fakes, such as videos that looks like porn, continuation of let’s play videos that has been taken down and other obvious targets. Don’t feed the trolls.
