Nicovideo: Editing tags

A great thing about nicovideo is that anyone can edit the tags of any video. You can of course lock tags that you have put on your uploaded videos, but most videos only have one locked tag which is the category. These categories range form “Anime” to “I sang” or “I danced”.

To start adding tags, you need to get into tag-editing mode. Load up a video you want to change the tag on and then click the red edit tag button to the right of the tags, as shown here:

This will load up the taglist where you can add new tags. Starred tags means that they are locked. It’s easy to add new tags, just enter the tags separated by space and press return. To lock the tags, click the lock/unlock button to the right of them in the list. You know that they are locked when you see a bright yellow star next to them.

And that’s it! Please make it easier for people to find stuff when editing tags! It makes browsing nicovideo a lot more fun☆
