Jason-san is a japanese artist and a master of using a chainsaw to make different sculptures. He has done many statues, such as characters from anime series and japanese memes. This time around, he takes on Big Daddy from the Bioshock series. His blog (in japanese) tells you more about the progress and gives you some insight in how he makes these sculptures.
Why did he make it?

It’s quite amazing what you can do with a chainsaw and a piece of wood, don’t you think?
It seems like this h-game opening will get as many remixes as there are memes, and now it’s time for salt to take the stage (!?). I first imagined that only Hakata-tan would be part of this, but no, it’s much more than that, involving salts from all over Japan. This is a video for true salt-fans and lovers all around the world! It even includes some of the gameplay!
It was quite a while ago I found an inanimate object cute, but here it is again, proving that truly everything can be moé! It is all thanks to the hammer-meme, or rather, the one person that started to upload videos titled with references to famous memes plus an image of the Super Smash Bros. (or rather, Donkey Kong) Hammer-weapon accompanied by it’s well-known melody. (more…)

Someone on pixiv and nicovideo now made it possible for you to at least imagine what it would be like if the elements had personality:
