Moe show: Sayonara zetsubou sensei (さよなら絶望先生)

This. This is the best show of 2007, and also the best manga. It might be hard to follow for those that are not native japanese because of the kanji puns, cultural references and gags, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t have the most moe character crew of the year.

Yes, the characters! We have a teacher always in despair whose name if written horizontally spells out “zetsubou” or despair in english as the main character and it only becomes better from here! Komori, the hikikomori girl; Kafuka, the always positive in times of dread girl; Meru Otonashi, the girl that uses mail messages instead of speaking; Chiri Kitsu, correctness is her virtue and these are only a small part of the characters!
It’s truly a haven for moe fanatics as me!☆
