ME-tan: a closer look

Windows ME might have been an failed OS, but it is the reason ME-tan exists and we should therefor forgive Microsoft for making it. ME-tan is after all the most loved OS-tan by the fans!
We will now look into what kind of character ME-tan really is.
ME-tan is, while being described as the clumsy type, always a hard worker. She might not be very smart, but she always tries her best. That might be one of the main reasons she has so many fans, as she is very human in a certain way.
She is in the fan comics often the character that one way or another freezes at important moments, especially when she tries too hard. Her clothes, the blue and white maid outfit, is accessorized with a “!” triangle, further showing that her crashes is part of her personalty. Looking at her green hair, matching the theme of Windows ME, we’ll also see that she has a “ahoge, (アホ毛)”, a strand of hair standing up at all times, which also makes her ditzy characterization stronger.
Always loved, adored and protected by her sister 2K-tan, she makes mistakes but is always forgiven. She just doesn’t know better, and that’s why we lover her so (in a moe kind of way). ME-tan is also very emotional, as her strand of hair works like a dogs tail. It’s often used to describe her mood at the time, such as confused or enraged!
